Review:Kevin Smith's second foray out of the View Askew universe. Smith is unfairly targeted as jumping on the Apatow bandwagon of making dirty, funny films with a sweet center. In truth Smith helped create the genre long before Apatow ever stepped behind the camera. The film has some of the funniest material of the year and some of the most touching scenes as well. Seth Rogen and Elizebeth Banks together have great chemistry. Their comedic timing and sincere delivery are essential in holding some of the most absurd and raunchy scenes together preventing the film from derailing. Smith is truly a master of his genre, and he finds a perfect rhythm in his latest film.
