Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Release Year: 2008
Review: Woody Allen in top form. A film that explores love using Allen's brilliant wit, and a wonderful cast which delivers his genius. There is nothing challenging in the plot, the complexity lies in the characters and dialog. In addition to the writing, the film is superbly shot, and the beauty of Barcelona is as much a character as anyone else in the cast. Greatness is expected when watching a Woody Allen film, if he is in his best form, and he certainly is with this film.
