Dog Day Afternoon

Release Year: 1975
Review: Al Pacino shows why he is one of the great actors in this intense thriller by Sidney Lumet. Based on a true story of a bank robbery, this is a witty and moving portrayal of a man at the end of his rope. You can't help but be moved by Pacino's powerful performance and by his characters unfortunate plight. Lumet is a master at creating profound scenes and lasting moments, and Dog Day Afternoon is another fine example of his genius.
