Strangers With Candy

Release Year: 2005
Review: I went into this movie fresh, having never seen the show. I'll have to say it had some serious "laugh out loud" moments. Unfortunately, despite how hilarious the surrounding cast was, I can't get over my disdain for the main character Jeri. Every time the character came on screen it killed the scene. In what is a pretty grounded story and cast, Jeri is just too over the top. She's like the crazy aunt that thinks she is hilarious, but is really just making everyone uncomfortable. This movie would have been fantastic if it only weren't for that character, which is a shame since the character is the entire basis of the movie.
