Slumdog Millionaire

Release Year: 2008
Review: A beautiful, thoughtful and inspiring film by director Danny Boyle. Boyle uses the game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" as a tool to tell the story of Jamal, a boy from the slums who of India. This film is breathtaking to look at. Each flashback segment is stunning and a work of art in of itself. It's more than just eye candy however, beneath the surface this is a heartfelt story. A perfect blend of beauty, style, humor and emotion, this film is a must watch.
