Sex and the City: The Movie

Release Year: 2008
Review: Alright, so I'm not the target audience for this movie, but I have seen most of the HBO series and found it fairly decent. This movie just doesn't bring anything special to the table. It could have easily just been an episode in the original series. I can't identify with any of the characters, since I'm not female nor middle aged, but that doesn't mean I couldn't at least enjoy them and appreciate their chemistry. Unfortunately, I didn't think these characters were likable. I couldn't sympathize with any of them, as they were all self-absorbed and blatantly superficial. I understand that these are the characters that so many people have fallen in love with, but the writing in this movie severely lacks and doesn't make the characters shortcomings endearing, but irritating. Unless you already loved the series stay away from this movie.
