O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Release Year: 2000
Review: Kind of a Saturday morning cartoon version of Cool Hand Luke mixed with Indiana Jones. Everyone is playing a caricature in this this odd Cohen brother comedy. Despite its strange delivery, the film is fun and does deliver a message. The film is also beautiful to look at with Roger Deakins creating a unique look using digital color correction. Best of all is the genius incorporation of blue grass music throughout the film which adds to the southern character which this film radiates.
