Marty

Release Year: 1955
Review: 'Marty' is a heartwarming story about a goodhearted, but lonely guy who just has no luck with women. After being taunted and prodded by everyone around him, Marty(Ernest Borgnine) has all but given up on finding a wife until he meets someone just like him. This is an incredibly sweet film full of raw emotion. Borgnine plays the vulnerable character perfectly, showing the honesty and pain in Marty. There is something so relatable in Marty. It is very hard not to like him and want him to succeed. Its very concise, it doesn't go off on tangents, or complicate things needlessly. It's just a charming movie about a man seeking love. This is a feel good movie, that inspires the best of you to come out and is endlessly rewatchable.
