Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Release Year: 2008
Review: A fun, if not awkward, comedy about a good guy going through a tough break up. This film blends a perfect bit of raunchiness with class and heart, that makes for a great romantic comedy. In so many ways the movie could have fallen into just another stereotypical sex comedy, but each time veered away and brought something new to the table. Each character is likable and flawed in their own way and I enjoyed each of them. Although I thought it was well acted all around, I think Mila Kunis and Russel Brand had breakout performances, where each elevated their characters well above what was expected and nearly stole every scene in which they were in.
