Coraline

Release Year: 2009

Director: Henry Selick

Review: 'Coraline' is a children's tale that's coated with a darkness that is both twisted and intriguing.  There were moments of brilliant weirdness and imagination, but I ultimately never connected with Coraline and it felt at times that I was being force fed quirk.  I admire its effort in pushing what is expected from an animated children's movie, I just wish it had more heart.
