Beowulf

Release Year: 2007
Review: 'll admit from the first trailer I thought this movie looked terrible. Sadly the CG work ruined it for me. Don't get me wrong I thought it was magnificent work. I know how much labor went into making it and can admire it from a technical perspective (actually went a lecture by someone who worked on it a few months ago), but it just didn't feel right in this movie for me. I think this could have been a great live action film had enough resources been put into it. Beyond this gripe the story was a bit drawn out, but overall was entertaining. I guess if you can get by the CG look of the film I would recommend it, but really there are much better movies out there of the same genre.
